Thomas J. Mazur, Chairman

After receiving an Engineering degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from University of Pennsylvania – Wharton School, Tom Sr. managed major projects for Inland Steel. He left Inland to replace the ailing Adam Mazur as the President of Mazur+Son Construction. As Chairman, Tom advises on operational issues and is involved in strategic planning. He is active with many charitable organizations and is a consultant for SCORE, which provides free consulting services for small businesses. In his free time, he enjoys his 13 grandchildren.

Thomas M. Mazur, President

Tom received his Engineering degree from Marquette University and went on to receive his MBA at the University of Notre Dame. After working in Commercial Real Estate in Chicago, he joined Mazur+Son and has been President for over 20 years. While at the helm the company flourished and Tom implemented sophisticated estimating, scheduling, and cost accounting systems to help provide our clients with a high level of professional construction management. He takes a leadership role and is personally involved in every project from pre-construction services through closeout. Tom is committed to ensuring that each client is satisfied every time. Tom coaches youth sports, is on the Finance Council at St. John of the Cross and is a committee member at Nazareth Academy.

Bill Jaekel, Project Manager/Estimator

Bill Jaekel brings over twenty years of experience in the construction industry to Mazur+Son. He began his career in the field renovating houses while attending college. After graduating from college Bill worked at an architectural firm in Chicago and gained invaluable experience as a draftsman, model builder and ultimately a project manager overseeing multi-million dollar projects. Bill is a versatile team player who can fill many roles due to his background. When not at work, he can be found playing racquetball, tennis and golf. Bill is married with three daughters with whom he has spent countless hours coaching and watching all three play travel softball.

David Visk, General Superintendent

David has been with Mazur+Son since 1970. He has truly worked his way up the ladder, starting as a laborer, moving up to a carpenter, foreman, and eventually superintendent. Dave is responsible for all on site coordination including all scheduling, safety, and quality control. He is a hands-on guy with carpentry, electrical and mechanical installation experience. Dave maintains communication with the client on a daily basis. In addition to being involved with his three children, he now enjoys time with his two grandchildren.

Pat Flynn, Project Accountant

After working as an accountant for a manufacturing company, Pat Joined Mazur+Son in 1986. She is responsible for all accounting and administrative tasks such as managing subcontractor insurance certificates, waivers and pay requests. She utilizes a system that streamlines the process while verifying that the owner is protected with accurate, legal waivers. Pat also assists the project manager in processing submittals, subcontractor change orders and closeout documentation. Pat enjoys traveling in her spare time.
