Bridgeview Bank is a community bank that was seeking an expanded presence in the thriving Garfield Ridge community located on the southwest side of Chicago. The high visibility location of Archer Avenue was selected as the site for their most recent branch. Due to the small buildable area, creativity was required of the design team to achieve the required underground concrete storm water retention and maintain the required green space. The final design features a traditional brick exterior combined with a contemporary high volume ceiling with exposed structural and mechanical elements. The bank’s exterior design mirrors that of the Chicago Public Library directly across the street.
